Railway Cafe, Galena
« on: December 15, 2009, 11:57:32 AM »
The Railway Cafe in Galena has expressed interest in opening its doors to any film making opportunities on every Wednesday (they are closed).  It is a small coffee shop located next to the CVB building (the old train depot) in Galena, and is full of artwork by Paul Chase and has a great rustic vibe.  It would be a great setting for a dialogue-based short, or something along the lines of the TV show Northern Exposure...you could have lots of characters coming in and out.  Anyway, just letting you know its there...and the coffee and food is great.

Creative Maxims, is interested in this. We have drafted an initial list of and description of characters. Will meet with owners of Railway Cafe very soon.
We are beginning work on a pilot episode. I am very interested in directing this product and writing it with Mary. We have what we think is a great start on a sit-com
similar to one we started fooling around with a few years ago. This is a perfect location. We're Pumped!

What a great resource location and op for being able to give a wide range of actors and tech people the chance to get involved.

Put me down on your interested list-just not in front of the camera.
